The most famous Czech beer producer is planning to expand its production capacity in the future. This also entails consolidation and increase of storage capacities. Our task was to compare different types of warehouses and recommend a solution concept that will not only meet the capacity requirements, but will also be cost-effective.

This is the maximum capacity of a fully automated warehouse upon completion of Phase II of the project.
In the preparatory phase of the project, we compared different levels of automation and developed a business case. The recommended option was a fully automated pallet warehouse (AS/RS) with 42,000 pallet positions operated by stacker cranes. The connection between production, warehouse and dispatch is provided by conveyors and monorail. The focus was not only on the technology itself, but also on the requirements in related areas (IT, construction, fire safety, processes, etc.). We covered the selection of the automated warehouse supplier and Logio was not absent in supervising the implementation of the solution either.
