So how did we proceed in this case?

We created a digital model of the future production on which we tested several possible concepts. These varied in layout and the use of different technology – either conventional or automated. Using dynamic simulation, we verified the functionality of the design and uncovered the biggest pitfalls before actual implementation. As the winning option, we recommended an automated concept for operating the production line using AVG / AMR autonomous trolleys. This proved once again that we are a strategic partner in supply chain management and can combine traditional approaches with the latest trends and technologies of Industry 4.0.
