We have reduced the number of pages in the flyers by 25%. At the same time, promotional margins and profits increased.
An optimally designed and balanced flyer is the alpha and omega of an effective promotion. From the Metro product portfolio, we have selected those items that are meaningful and profitable to promote. The promotional flyer for each period is then automatically compiled from these items. The result is a ¼ thinner flyer – this is not only economical, but also environmentally friendly. For the same sales, we have seen a 1% increase in promo margin and a 3% increase in overall profit on promoted items. On top of this, we have seen an acceptance rate of up to 80% for automated suggestions.
